Congratulations to Diana Hill and Mary Lou McDonough from Wilmington High School for being selected as the 2018 WOW School Staff Recognition Award recipients. Winners are selected annually from nominations submitted by school staff and WOW members. Winners are selected for demonstrating a commitment to community service by going above and beyond the expectations of their job to incorporate the concept of community service into their classrooms or the Wilmington school system. Diana and Mary Lou are the driving forces behind bringing the Special Olympics School Day Games to Wilmington – which in just 2 short years has become one of the most special and anticipated district-wide events of the school year. We are so thrilled to recognize these very worthy candidates. Thank you to Diana, Mary Lou and their committee for the countless hours of time they sacrifice to spread the message and example of kindness and inclusivity through our school system!
